Recently, I took a poll to see how massage therapists like to wind down at the end of a long day of massage. The results were both fantastic and occasionally even chuckle-worthy. Today, I thought I’d share a few of their suggestions. Even if these aren’t your idea of a relaxing “unwind,” I hope this list acts as a reminder to do something for yourself at the end of a long day.
Ideas for the Ultimate Un-Wind:
- Sip a warm cup of tea
- Enjoy a glass of wine or a cold beer
- Enjoy anew jazz CD
- Watch a comedysitcom
- Curl up with a good book
- Get on a massage table yourself (you deserve a massage too)
- Laugh (yes, just laugh)
- Crank down your car windows and crank up some outrageous music (on the drive home, that is)
- Sit outside in the fresh air for 10 minutes
The bottom line, don’t skimp on those few minutes you need to unwind. They are crucial to your well-being.
Wiiiiiiiind down, friends!
