I was recently asked what actually makes true “quality.” I chalk it up to this: Quality never goes out of style. Trends come and go. Quality, on the other hand, is always quality. Like a slick black suit, a literary masterpiece, a pair of Louis Vuitton pumps, and – of course – a 1957 Chevy, quality transcends the ages. With that in mind, I’d like to explore what makes “quality” massage equipment.
It’s innovative!Let’s face it, innovation affects design and design, subsequently, affects style, function, and comfort. No product would be truly complete without any one of these things (style, function, or comfort). All three must be present. Massage equipment that functions well, for example, but has little to it aesthetically doesn’t truly improve the atmosphere of your massage room or spa. Thus, innovation in design is critical in your ability to utilize a product for the long-term.
It’s reliable!I simply can’t stress this enough. It’s crucial that you ask about the materials and processes that are used to build a product you are considering purchasing. What kind of wood was used? What type of cushioning and upholstery? And, how was the product built? Was it, for example, precision crafted? These things matter in the overall quality of a product.
You feel good about the company! This is, to my mind, one of the most important aspects in buying quality product. The fact of the matter is that if you buy from an ethically sound company, you’re more likely to get a quality product. Why? Because the company will be honest with you about the materials and processes that they use to develop products. So, do your research. You are giving your hard-earned money to others when you choose to buy their product. My recommendation: Make sure your purchases benefit a company that gives back to its community and that genuinely tries to make a positive difference in the world.
The warranty is unmatched! This isn’t mentioned as often as I believe it should be, but it does make a real difference in the quality arena. Warranties impact your ability to utilize a product in the off-chance that a quality issue or concern ever arises. In my experience, companies that offer strong warranty programs also produce some of the best quality product. Not entirely surprising, is it?
The long and short of it is this: Our most successful product investments are in use long after we initially purchase them. It is in large part for that reason that they never seem to go out of style. Over time, they become part of the very fabric of our business. They become classics. And, really, who doesn’t love a classic?
